Our beliefs are like colored lenses in front of our eyes. If I look through the blue lense all of my world will be blue. The person next to me might have pink colored lenses and can't fathom how I can perceive things in blue. The color is the very root of our belief structure and determines how we perceive our world. At deeper levels we all share some common root stresses and judgements that have become the color that humanity has tainted itself with. Humanity's perception is deeply affected by fear and a sense of separateness. And this we each individually experience in various different ways. A small child, in innocence, perceives a reality that is not yet tainted by beliefs. Not until the parents and the society install their vision of reality into the growing child. The power of the mind unencumbered by limiting views on life is awesome. The children have an unparalleled ability to learn effortlessly whatever is given to them. The more that the structure of beliefs settles in the less we tap into that power innocence. The harder it becomes to learn and more and more easily we choose for the existing limited paradigms handed down to us from the previous generations. If our largely unconscious beliefs and judgements are what limit the range of our experience, then how to return to that state of innocence where all possibilities exist and none are expelled. Perhaps it is necessary to realise that our entire perception of reality is created from a place that is colored by illusion. As long as I have blue lenses on there is very little chance of seeing the clear light of the Ascendant One. Perhaps our entire belief structure is born from the judgement of separation and hence can't even begin to comprehend the Universality of our true existence. Ascension literally means to rise beyond our previous beliefs and judgements. It is not that we add something to the blue perception of life but we tap into something entirely new and something eternal. We ascend and open ourselves to the deepest and clearest reality of the Ascendant. As the awareness of that grows through continual focus on Ascending so does our internal belief structure become as if dislodged. It becomes less rigid and in time it returns back to the infinite flexibility of life lived in the Now. Nataraja Ishaya
We don't often recognize how powerful and subtle our beliefs are. We don't normally think that our nearsightedness is primarily a product of deeply rooted racial, societal or familial conviction and only secondarily a result of physical factors. We don't believe that our minds control our bodies and not the other way around. And yet there have been well documented cases of multiple-personality individuals in which one of the occupying personalities believes he/she cannot see properly and is nearly blind without artificial correction. The personality in dominance at any given time determines how well the physical eyes work! In another case, one sub-personality is allergic to oranges and breaks out in hives whenever one is eaten; another loves oranges and eats them without the slightest side effect. We normally dismiss these cases as being bizarre or extraordinary and have little bearing on our individual lives. And yet how many of us have conflicting personalities inside that deeply influence our behaviour? We commonly feel that the body and the mind are separate entities -- there are physical problems and there are mental problems; they are distinct. But the body-mind is more of a continuum -- the physical structure is a congealed expression of our habitual patterns of thinking and believing. The body is secondary, a tool of the mind, not the other way around. The body has no power in and by itself to do anything. It cannot be sick or injured without the consent of the mind. MSI, Ascension!
Some conceptions of disease are more deeply rooted in ourselves and in the collective consciousness of humanity than are others. The more fundamental and universal the belief in the particular disease or injury, the more profound must be your understanding that you are incabable of being sick or injured if you desire to be well. A doctor friend of mine once told a curious story that illustrates how the body's state of health is based on the mind's beliefs. This doctor was approached by a sweet little old lady complaining of severe abdominal pains. Upon examination, the doctor concluded that exploratory surgery was indicated, as this unfortunate soul most likely had cancer of the colon. Upon opening her up, the doctor did indeed find an extremely advanced case of cancer -- it had metastasized to several organs and was inoperable. The doctor gave her three weeks at the most live. Sadly sewing her up, he debated whether or not to tell her this awfull truth. He tried but simply could not force himself to do it; instead, he told her she had only gallstones, which he had removed. Deeply saddened by the failure of his science, he bade the kind old woman farewell, knowing he would never see her again. Imagine his amazement when a year later this woman walked into his office, vibrantly healthy, to tell him how alive and happy she had felt ever since the operation! The doctor examined her and found not the slightest trace of the dread disease. Mystified, he asked her if she had had any unusual experiences since he had last seen her. "No," she replied, "but I must tell you! When I came to see you, I was so afraid I had cancer. When you explained it was only gallstones, I was so relieved and happy that I resolved never to be ill another day in my life." A strange coincidence? An unlikely and rare healing without known cause? Most doctors encounter such infrequent events from time to time, but having no physical explanation, they choose to ignore them, filing them under the general catch-all category of "spontaneous (and therefore unexplainable) remissions." What do you think? MSI, Ascension!
Typically beliefs change as the result of new experience. How does new experience come to us? The first step is to introduce a faint doubt into our rigid belief structure. A small spark can start a huge fire if the conditions are right. The small spark needed to burn our old belief system and transform our lives is the faintest feeling, deep inside, that maybe everything that we have thought and believed about life and the Universe is false. What if, after all, there is more to life than we have yet perceived or undersood? What if -- just perhaps -- those we have been listening to for all these years do know next to nothing? What if our potential Reality is actually so much more rich and wonderful than we have ever dreamed? What if? With even such a quiet and faint initial opening to a more expnaded level of understanding, change begins and accelerates in our lives. Books start leaping of the shelves at us. As if by magic, people unlike any we have ever known start appearing to us and Teach us. The old world starts to drop away faster and fster as the new life develops inside. Deeper knowledge and ever-expanding experience step forth to assist us now. There exist systematic, mechanical and all but effortless techniques to begin to raise our consciousness, to open us ever more fully and completely to Universal Mind. MSI, Ascension!
"You're saying the Universe is a projection of our beliefs and judgements?" I asked. "My world is different from yours; Steve's is different from Dite's, everyone's is different from everyone else's? They seem to share some features, but the reality is, my world, my Universe, is my creation, none others?" "Yes, this is the perspective from Unified Consciousness. This attitude gives mastery of the objective world. It's also invaluable for anyone suffering from disease of any kind. Perfect health is the automatic by-product of knowing the Truth of this technique. This is a priceless tool for removing all the stress from the physical nervous system." The doctor commented: "In other words, this attitude teaches that the subjective is primary and the objective is secondary. The old view of the medicine was that the body alone was real; consciousness was a ghost in the body machine. The Gratitude Attitude corrects all such faulty and superstitious beliefs by replacing them with the direct experience of Reality: the mind comes first, the body and the world are projections." Within two months after I had learned Ascension, I offered to help translate the Ascension materials because I believed by plunging into Ascension, my every area - english, translation skill and my weaknesses - would be improved. In other words, I don’t need to study any particular subjects in order to survive or climb up higher in my business career ladder. So I chose to discontinue my studying Mandarin and gave up my goal to achieve a higher grade in relevant public examination, though studying is one of my most favorite hobbies. Before I started the translating work, this task seemed to me a huge mountain before me when considering my English, my Chinese and especially my spiritual knowledge. I thought I would translate as far as I could and would definitely leave many blanks to be filled in by the Chinese Ascension teacher, Prisca. I believed when MSI said there is nothing impossible with Ascension. No obstacles that can not be removed. I helped the translation work since January 2006 up to last September well before I went to my Teacher Training. So amazingly, in all my translation work, there wasn’t even one single blank to be filled. Also as I had expected, every aspect of my life was improved, happier, healthier, better relationship, work much smoother and less stressful. At the beginning of my Teacher Training, I hurt my ankle. I believed when my Teacher said it would heal. Then without treatment it healed. Before I went to my Teacher Training, I had fear that I would not get along well with foreigners. During my Teacher Training, when I considered taking my Ishaya Novitiate vows, I remembered and believed MSI said we will dance with Ishayas. Now, I’m happy with the Ishayas. Sharada Ishaya
Beliefs are something someone accepts as true or real. Our personal beliefs are the foundation for how we live our lives. They shape how we think and act, for we all want to do the best we can - which is based on what we hold as The Truth. If someone holds the belief that honesty is the best policy, it will be unlikely that this person is a compulsive liar. If someone believes everyone is out to get him, his life will be spent looking over his shoulder, not trusting anyone. The challenges come when we are holding beliefs that are left over from long ago. Ones that don’t necessarily serve us any more. Often, we are not even aware that we are operating from a relic belief. They are just quietly operating in the background… but still shaping our decisions and actions. Psychotherapists are doing quite well these days, trying to help people figure out why they keep repeating the same old behavior patterns… and keep getting the same old results. The general thought here is that uncovering the cause for the old belief - digging it up, scrutinizing it, reliving it – can help change it. For many, this is a rugged path. It does not have to be this brutal. When I was six years old, my favorite activity was watching cartoons on TV. Way back then they were only shown on Saturday mornings. I clearly remember the excitement I felt as I turned on the TV one morning and invited my dad to sit on the couch and watch cartoons with me. His response, “I don’t really like cartoons anymore” left me with the feeling that I didn’t really want to be an adult, if it meant I had to give up cartoons. Some things are pretty important to a six-year-old. As I grew and had experiences that expanded my knowledge and understanding of the world, my desire to sit on the couch on Saturday mornings diminished. One day I realized I no longer liked to watch cartoons. Along with that came the realization that I didn’t really give them up. I outgrew them. This is what happens when we ascend. We grow and expand… and our beliefs change accordingly. This process happens subtly, often without us even being aware of what is happening. Our old, quiet little internal programs of lack (or fear)… are replaced by something bigger… And one morning we wake up and realize we no longer want to watch cartoons. Ambika Ishaya
We are offering a series of intensives over this coming winter in our Oregon Coast Hilltop retreat house. The first one is set as soon as November 10th through the 17th. The schedule of all the upcoming intensives and First Spheres will be on the website. A non-refundable $208 deposit is due by the 1st of November. The full cost of the course is $608. This includes housing, food and airport transportation to and from the Portland airport. Advanced Ascension Attitudes are not included in the price. The intensive is a great gift at every level. The mind will naturally settle down and become more quiet as it comes in contact with the source of all thoughts. The body will experience a deep level of rest as it relaxes into the source of all healing. Both the mind and the body get exactly what they need to come to coherence and balance. The focus on the inward movement is so vital for our growth and yet so easily forgotten. The intensive is a great reminder of the power that we each have inside and how much more of life can be lived if we are but open to it. The intensive gives an opportunity to move inward without the outer distractions and responsibilities that we usually have around us. This allows us to be focused solely on ascending and quickly open ourselves up to the true transformative power inside of us. There is nothing quite like the direct living experience of what is Real in your life and in your world. And to come to that point of greater awareness is a gift beyond measure. A gift that is not only yours but extends to everyone around you. The time in the intensive that you give to yourself is time given to what is true for every single human being on this planet. What is being offered is more than just a series of courses. The doorway to a new way of living is open and the invitation from the Ishayas comes clear and strong: "If you would come with me who would stop you?" We invite all of you to come and take part in this. What better time to rest and allow yourself to deeply connect with what is inside of you patiently waiting to be recognized?
